These studies below are studies I did on different animals. I used an online encyclopedia
for some of things I wrote. I wrote them for my Blog, but I decide to put them
on my web site too. They are listed from the most read to the rarely read. But
anyway I hope you enjoy reading them. All Glory to Elohim! Shalom

1:22
And
Elohim blessed them, saying, be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in
the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
Study on the African Elephant...

The beginning life of an
Elephant...
A female elephant will usually start to breed at around the age of thirteen. And
the females announce their estrus with signals and special calls. The Females
prefer stronger, bigger, and, most importantly the want older males.
After twenty-two-months of pregnancy, the mother will give birth to a calf. The baby elephants have a very long childhood. Also the baby elephants are born with fewer survival instincts than many other animals. Instead, Yahweh made it to where they must rely on the elder elephants to teach them the things they need to know.
A new calf is usually the center of attention for all the herd members. All the adults and most of the other young elephants will gather around the newborn, touching it and caressing it with their trunks. The baby is born nearly blind and at first relies, almost completely, on its trunk to discover the world around itself.
All members of the tightly knit female group, participate in the care and protection of the young elephants. After the main excitement, the mother will usually select many full-time baby-sitters, or "allomothers," from her group. According to a well known researcher, these allomothers will help in all the aspects of raising the calf. They walk with the young as the herd of elephants travels, helping the calves along if they fall or get stuck in the mud. The more allomothers there are available, the more free time a baby elephant has and the better its chances of survival. The baby elephant lives off it’s own mother’s milk for it’s nutrition. An elephant is considered an allomother when she can have a baby on her own. A benefit of being an allomother is that she can gain experience, or receive assistance when caring for her own calf.

Elephants
suck water up into the trunk up to fifteen quarts or fourteen liters at a time
and then blow it into their mouth.
Elephants also inhale water to spray on their body during bathing. Its wrinkles
trap the water inside so that the elephant can stay cool.
The elephant uses it’s trunk as a snorkel when it swims.
Raising the trunk up in the air and swiveling the trunk from side to side, (like
a periscope) it can determine the location of friends, enemies, and food
sources.
There are about one hundred thousand muscles in an elephant’s trunk.

Study on the Big Horned Sheep
![]()
The Bighorn Sheep are named for their large, curved horns borne by the males (rams). Females (ewes), also have horns, but they are short with only a slight curvature. There colors range from grayish or dark, light brown, chocolate brown, with a white rump and lining on the back of all four legs. The Rocky Mountain bighorn females weigh up to 200 pounds and males can exceed 300 pounds. The ram’s horns can weigh up to 30 pounds! Some bones in the male's body can also weigh 30 pounds. The Bighorn ewes exhibit a 6 month gestation. In temperate climates, the peak of the rut occurs in November with one, or rarely two, lambs being born in 5th Month of the year. The lambs are then weaned when they reach 4 to 6 months.

The last thing I want to mention is that a Bighorn Sheep uses mountains as a
place for protection. This is another awesome creature Yahweh made. Feel free to
comment on my blog. I hope you all have had a wonderful day. Shalom,
KolaYah.

Study on the bald eagle
Shalom,
The reason why I wrote this study was, I went with my
grandparents to the Wildlife Museum (by Bass Pro Shop) in Springfield Missouri.
One of the things I found to be amazing was how many pounds of pressure their
feet can hold. An average man can hold 200 pounds of pressure, but a bald eagle
can hold 2,000 pounds of pressure! Wow! That's 10 times more than an average man
can hold! Anyway, I found that to be quite amazing. So that inspired me to study
up on these birds. Here is what I found out....
A
bald eagle is the largest raptor, it weighs 15 1/2 pounds. It's wings completely
stretched out is 6 to 7 1/2 feet long. A bald eagle's nest is built in a pine
tree, The
biggest nest in record was in Florida it
was 9 1/2 feet wide and 20 feet tall, and
2,722 kg (about 3 tons). Wow!
The baby bald eagle takes 35 days to hatch, then in about 10-12 weeks it can fly. The bald eagle egg is a little larger than an extra large chicken egg.
Another thing is the
bald eagles are very good swimmers. It's rare for a bald eagle to misjudge, and
latch into a fish too heavy or large for it to fly with, but if they do so they
may swim quite a distance to shore. When they get there they drag the fish up on
shore and eat it (they wouldn't want to let go of lunch now). Would we want to
let go? ![]()
The really neat thing is that even the nestlings that can't yet fly can swim!

Two more facts... a bald eagle can fly up to 20-30 miles per
hour, 100-200 miles per hour when the bald eagle glides! Also the wings are
about 7 feet wide!

Study on the Mountain Goat
The
Beginning life of a Mountain Goat...
The baby goats (called "Kids"), are born during the spring time
(late May or early June). After a six month gestation period, the mother goat
(called “Nanny”) gives birth, usually to one kid. After going to an isolated
ledge, they lick the kid till they are dry, and eat the placenta. The kids weigh
a little over 7 lb after they have been born. They begin to climb and run (or
try to do so) within a few hours. Within one month the Nannies have weaned the
kids, and the kids follow their mothers closely for the first year of their life
(or until the nanny gives birth again), and if this does not happen on the next
breeding season, the nannies will protect their young. (By leading them out of
danger, standing over them when faced by predators, and positioning themselves
below their kids on steep slopes to stop free falls). In thirty months they are
considered adults.

The appearance and characteristics...
The male and female mountain goats have beards, short tails, and also long black horns from 15-28 cm in length, which grow rings every year. They are protected from the cold with their two woolly white coats. The fine, thick wool of their undercoats is covered by an outer layer of long, hollow hairs. In warmer seasons, the mountain goats shed by rubbing against rocks and trees. The adult males (Billies) shed their extra wool first, and the pregnant nannies shed last of all the goats. In the winter, their coats help them to keep warm, and to withstand temperatures as low as -50 Fahrenheit, and winds of up to 100 mph! A Billy stands (3'3") at the shoulder. The billies have longer horns and a longer beard than nannies. Mountain goats typically weigh between 45 to 300 lb. The Females are usually 10 to 30% lighter than the Billies. The mountain goat's feet are made for climbing steep. They can climb rocky slopes, even sometimes with temperatures of 60 degrees or more, their inner pads will provide traction. Dewclaws on the bottom of their feet also help to keep them from slipping.

These are just one of the Rocky Mountain animals. Here are the last facts...
1. The mountain goats live in North America (in the inhabitants of the Rocky
Mountains and also Cascade Mountains).
2. You will usually find them in northern
Washington, Idaho, Montana, and also Alaska.
3. They also live in Canada providences British Columbia, and Alberta.
4. Mountain goats are the largest mammals found in high-altitude habitats. They
can reach elevations of 3,000 meters, or even more. Sometimes they will go down
to sea level (in coastal areas), they will primarily stay up in the alpine and
sub alpine area. The goats will usually stay above the tree line on the
mountains, but they will seasonally move to higher or lower elevations within
that range. In the summertime the Mountain Goats will move to a low-elevation
area. As they find mineral licks, they will end up descending through forested
areas. They stay together while traveling.

Study on the Ostrich
Did you know an Ostrich is the
only bird that can't fly? Instead their wings used to help them balance when
they run, especially if they suddenly change direction. They are the tallest and
heaviest living bird. The Ostrich weighs 200 to 285 pounds; although. However
there have been some male ostriches can weigh up to 340 pounds! Another thing is
that ostriches dance! Below a picture of a male and female dancing...

The Male is the one in black and white, and the female in brown and white.
The ostrich egg is about 3
pounds; 6 in. long and 5 in. wide. (one egg pictured below...)
![]()
The females will lay their eggs in a communal nest--a simple pit about 12-24 in
deep, scraped in the ground by the male ostrich. The nest may have 15 to 60
eggs! (That's a lot!)
Below is a picture of some baby ostriches...

Ostriches live about 30 to 70 years, with 50 being typical. Ostriches live in
groups of 5 to 50 birds that often travel together with other grazing animals,
such as antelopes or zebras. Ostriches mainly eat of seeds and other plant
matter, though it also eats insects. When they are threatened, the Ostrich
will either hide by lying flat against the ground, or will run away.

A few more amazing facts are that the Ostrich, with a long neck and legs, has
the ability to run at speeds of about 40 mph! That means that an ostrich has the
top land speed of any bird! Another amazing fact is that ostriches can swim. Yet
one more, and yet the last, amazing thing is how Yahweh created this bird and
many others in just within one sentence "and fowl that may fly above the
earth in the open firmament of heaven." This is just one of the
birds!
That's all for this study!
Study on the Cheetah...
The female cheetahs will mature within twenty
to twenty-four months, and the male cheetahs will mature at around 12 months
(but they usually will not try to mate till they are at least 3 years old), and
mating will occur throughout the year. The females will give birth to up to nine
cubs after a gestation period of 90 to 98 days, although the average litter size
is from three to five cubs. The cubs can weigh from 5.3 ounces to 11 ounces.
Another thing is the cheetah cubs are born with downy underlying fur on
their necks, called a mantle, expanding into the middle of their backs. That
hair will shed later on as they become an adult. The cubs will leave their
mothers between 13 to 20 months after their birth; then the cubs will live for
about 12 years.; However, they can live up to 20 years in a zoo. The female
cheetahs live alone except when they give birth to cubs of course.
The first 18 months of the cub's life is very important. The lessons the cubs
will learn during that time are how to hunt wild prey, and also how to avoid
predators. When the cubs are 18 months old the mother leaves them, and those
cubs will live in a group for 6 months. The female cubs will live with the group
for about 2 years, and all the males will live together for all their life.
![]()
Weights and sizes...
An adult cheetah weighs from 88 lb to 140 lb. The cheetah's total body
length is from 45 in to 53 in, while the tail can be a big as 33
inches in length. The male cheetahs usually are slightly larger than the female
cheetahs, and have slightly larger heads, but there is no big difference in all
cheetah sizes. It is hard to tell from males and females apart by appearance
alone. The cheetah is usually shorter-bodied, but it is longer tailed and taller
than a leopard.

Amazing Facts...
The cheetah is the fastest animal on land. It can reach speeds between 70 mph
to 75 mph in short bursts up to 500 yd, and has the ability
to accelerate from 0 to 68 mph in 3 seconds, faster than most super race
cars. The Cheetah 50% of the time will catch its prey. Another thing is a
cheetah cannot roar. Cheetahs also are the only cats of all breeds that while
running, can turn in midair to follow their prey. Two last things are that
cheetahs can go up to freeway speeds in just a 3 strides!
That's all for this study!
Study on the Cougar...
Females reach maturity in between one-and-a-half and three years of age. They
usually have litter every two to three years throughout their reproductive life,
and sometimes that can be as short as one year. The gestation period is
usually about 91 days. See a picture of the (Cougars) kitten's below...
Female cougars are fiercely protective of their litter, and have been seen to fight off (successfully) animals as large as grizzly bears in their defense! Litter size is between one and six kittens, but usually two or three. The mother Cougar lives in caves and other alcoves so her cubs can be protected.
When the kittens are born they don't have their eyes yet opened, so the kittens are completely dependent on their mother and Yahweh. The kittens begin to be weaned at around three months after they are born, and then they begin to go on forays with their mother. The First thing they will do is visit the mothers kill sites, and after six months, they will begin to hunt small prey on their own.
The Sub-adults leave their mother to establish their own territory, which is when they are around two years of age and sometimes earlier, and the males will tend to sometimes leave sooner.
Weights and sizes...

Study
on the Bengal Tiger...
The
Beginning Life of a Bengal Tiger...
The male and female Bengal Tiger will come together frequently, like the other
cats. The gestation period for the mother cat is 16 weeks and they breed 3 to 4
cubs which are about 2 lbs each. The mothers sometimes will raise the
cubs alone. Sometimes the wandering males may even kill cubs to make the female
tiger receptive. In 8 weeks, the cubs are ready to follow their mother out of
the den. The cubs are able to fend for themselves around 18 months of age, but
they will not leave their mother till they are around 2–2½ years old. The
cubs will reach maturity by 3–4 years of age. The female tigers will stay with
the cubs, while males tend to wander around for territory. Over a course of the
female's life, a female tiger will birth an equal number of male and female
cubs.
Amazing Facts...
The
Bengal Tigers are very strong. They can kill big game, such as a water buffalo.
What they do when it has been killed is, they drag it to a safe place, which is
away from all the rest of the tigers, and then of course they eat it. All tigers
hunt by taking down the prey suddenly, because the tigers are not able to run
very long. One out of 10 or 20 attacks are successful. Because of that, the
tigers sometimes will not eat for many days. The tigers do not have very good
stamina, and use 18 hours each day to sleep. Being an animal that lives
nocturnal, they hunt at dusk and at dawn. These animals rarely climb any trees,
but they can swim really well. The male tigers are territorial, and care for a
home which covers up to 250 square miles!

A few last few facts about their eating are...
1.
Bengal Tiger
can eat as much as 88 lbs of meat in one meal.
2. Bengal Tigers normally eat anything above 100
pounds.
3. Bengal tigers also
mostly prefer to hunt by day.

The Beginning of an Orca whales’ life...
Female Orcas become mature at about 15 years of age. The gestation period came be from fifteen to eighteen months. The mothers will calve with a one offspring about every five years. In a estimate, birth occurs at any time of year, with the most popular months being those in the winter time. Newborn fatality — one study suggested that almost half of all orca calves fail to live one year old. Calves nurse for as long as 2 years, but they will begin to eat solid food at almost year old. All Orcas, including the males of any age, will participate in the caring of the young.
The
male Orcas usually will not live as long as females do. The females will breed
until they are 40 years old, meaning that at a normal amount they will raise
only five babies in a life time. usually though, the female's live (on average)
for about 50 years, but may sometimes live into 70 to 80 years in abnormal
cases. In the wild, the males usually live for about 30 years with a maximum of
50–60 years in abnormal cases. However, one male, that was known as ‘Old
Tom’ was reported to be spotted every winter from 1843 and 1932 off of
New South Wales, Australia. That would have made him at least 89 years old. The
Orcas that you would see at sea parks live usually less than 25 years.

Body Weights and sizes...
Orcas have weighty and stocky type body and a large dorsal fin, with a
darkish gray "saddle patch" at the fin's end. Orcas that live in
Antarctica can have light grey to nearly white backs. The males in size
can be from 19 to 26 ft long, and weigh in excess of 6.6 tons, there has
been a report that especially large males have reached near 8.5 tons. Females
are actually smaller than the males, growing from 16-23 ft long and a
weight of about 4.4 tons to 5.5 tons. However, an adult Orca's weight can be
anywhere from 2.85 to 8 tons, as you can see the males are heavier than females.
When baby orcas are born they weigh about 350-500 pounds and are about 2.4 m
6-8 ft long. The male Orcas have greatly larger chest fins than females,
the males chest fins are at about 6 ft, which makes the males chest fin
more than two times the size of the female's, and it is more of a triangle shape
where as the chest fin of the female is shorter and generally more curved.
Where they are located...
They
are located in the Mediterranean and Arabian seas. However, they do prefer
cooler temperate and polar reigns. They are sometimes spotted in deeper waters
(pelagic environment), but they prefer the coastal areas. The Orcas are usually
highly concentrated in the north-east part of the Pacific Basin, where Canada
curves into Alaska, away from the coast of Iceland, and away from the coast of
Northern Norway. They are regularly seen in Antarctic waters right up to the
pack of ice and are believed to venture under the pack of ice and survive
underneath there with their breathing in air pockets like the beluga whale does.
![]()
Amazing Facts...
1. The Orcas babies (calves) are born with an orange or yellowish
tint, which later fades into white.
2. The largest Orca ever in record was a male, away the coast of Japan,
measuring 32 ft long, and weighed over 8 tons and 885 pounds.
3. The Orca's big size and strength has made them the fastest of marine mammals,
with speeds reaching up to 35 mph!
Genesis 1:22 And Elohim blessed them, saying, be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
